Volunteers are a valuable resource at the Verde Valley Sanctuary. Being a volunteer with the Verde Valley Sanctuary gives you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, while participating in a rewarding experience. When you volunteer, you help make our limited dollars and resources stretch farther.
We offer two great ways to volunteer with us, Thrift Store Volunteers and Client Services Volunteers:
Thrift Store Volunteers
You can volunteer in one of our three thrift stores: Twice Nice Thriftiques in Sedona, Cottonwood, and Camp Verde helping to support our retail operations and our clients.
The Thrift Stores serve as the Resource Center for our clients. Clients are given vouchers to purchase needed items such as clothing and housewares. In addition, the stores generate 25% of our annual operating revenue. If you enjoy working in retail and customer service stop into either of our two stores for an application. (See map below for addresses and directions.)
Client Services Volunteer
Want to work hands-on with our clients at our Outreach Center or at the Shelter? We need volunteers to help clients in a variety of ways including: driving clients to appointments, childcare support, beautician services, job and housing search support, legal assistance and more.
If you are interested in becoming a Client Services Volunteer please call the Community Development Consultant, Tracey McConnell, at (928) 282-2755 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application and interview followed by a volunteer orientation and training.
