Want an easy, tax-smart way to support Survivors?
Give from your Donor Advised Fund!
Recommend a grant from your DAF to support safety, shelter, and healing at Verde Valley Sanctuary
So, what is a Donor Advised Fund? A DAF is a charitable giving account you can fund at providers like Arizona Community Foundation, Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, DAF360, and so on. This fund allows you to make a larger impact over time and is definitely a tax-efficient way to give. And the best thing is, you’ve likely already set aside these funds for charity, so no new out-of-pocket costs!
With this fund, you can recommend grants to nonprofits like Verde Valley Sanctuary. Your giving can directly impact:
- $1,500 → Support Emergency Shelter Operations for 1 Day
- $2,000 → Support our Survivor Food Program for 1 Month
- $3,500 → Support One Survivor Receiving Services for 1 Year
- $5,000 → Support One Survivor’s Rent in Transitional Housing for 1 Year
- $10,000 → Support Our SAFER Fund for 6 Months (Attorney Fees/Legal Filing Fees/Housing and Rent Payments, etc.)
NEED HELP STARTING A DONOR ADVISED FUND?
The Arizona Community Foundation is equipped to help donors open a DAF, for which they receive an immediate tax deduction. ACF also aids in helping nonprofit organizations receive DAF gifts. Verde Valley Sanctuary recommends you give the ACF office in Sedona a call at 928-399-7218, or the Yavapai County office at 928-783-3544.
